Tapetes São Carlos is based in the city of Sao Carlos in the center of Sao Paulo State, at about 230 km from the State’s capital. It occupies a total area of 100 mil m2, being approximately 70 mil m² of constructed area.

Know a little about our trajectory:

		Mr. Otto Werner Rösel come with his family to Brazil and founded Tapetes Sao Carlos.
		The first Weaving machine is installed and in August the first carpet is ready.
		Beginning of the 70´s The Rösels brought the needling production technology to Brazil.
		End of the 70´s The Tufting Division is installed, which is the most used manufacturing process in the world.
		Beginning of the 90´s The Automotive Division is installed, which offers products for the automakers, induscar, auto parts and resales.
		End of the 90´s The Weaving went through a big modernization process.
		A Tapetes São Carlos recebe a certificação QS 9000/ISO 9002. Este padrão estabelece diretrizes para as empresas atenderem os requisitos automotivos.
		March of 2006 Installation of the Effluents Treatment Station.
		Tapetes São Carlos, during all these years has been modernizing and nowadays it can count with modern extruders for the transformations of polypropylene chips into continuous Roselan threads used in the manufacturing of carpets and rugs.
		In addition to polypropylene, we use spun threads and continuous of nylon, polyester and other materials in the manufacturing of rugs and carpets.
		A Tapetes São Carlos recebe a certificação ISO TS 16949/ISO 9001. Este padrão estabelece diretrizes para as empresas atenderem os requisitos automotivos.
		A Tapetes São Carlos recebe a certificação ISO 14001. Este padrão estabelece diretrizes para as empresas que desejam minimizar os impactos de suas operações no meio ambiente.
		A Tapetes São Carlos é a 1ª Empresa da America Latina a ser certificada pelo Green Label Plus – Produtos Verdes para Edifícios Verdes, concedido pela CRI - Carpet and Rugs Institute dos Estados Unidos, para produtos com baixa emissão de orgânicos químicos voláteis (VOC´s). Produtos com o selo Green Label Plus® podem ser utilizados nos conceituados "Prédios Verdes" (Green Building") e garantem uma qualidade de vida saudável em ambientes internos comerciais e residenciais.

Our lines of products are divided among rugs, carpets, synthetic decorative grass, felts for mattresses and lining, offering a wide range of products that meet our customers’ expectations.

Apart from the domestic market Tapetes Sao Carlos has a strong presence in the foreign market with meaningful exportations to Germany, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay among others.
