Environmental Responsibility

The commitment of Tapetes Sao Carlos is to improve the present without compromising the future, contributing for the well-being of employees, customers and the community, in addition to protecting the needs of future generations.

Community Aiming social inclusion, Tapetes São Carlos has sponsored for more than 7 (seven) years the project “Athletics in the Neighborhoods”. The initiative involves more than 1350 children, ages 8 to 15 in the poorest neighborhoods of Sao Carlos.

Water Our E.T.E. station of treatment of effluents, treats about 2.700 m3 a month, reminding you that most of this water is used in the cooling of the processes of production.

Energy The power generation is fed by two wood-burning boilers (wood from reforestation) and a gas boiler. Besides minimizing the environmental impact on the correct selection of fuel for our boilers, we also have a strict control and treatment on the gas released by them.

The usage of raw material before and after consumption Apart from recovering 100% of the fibers and filaments coming from our production process, we buy more than 100.000 (hundred thousand) kilos of polyester fiber (after consumption) for the production of felts and needled carpets, automotive parts, for the felt used in the base of our rugs and also for the production of spun thread for some rugs and carpets collections.
